“A Message from Pastor Brian,”
We have just celebrated Easter. We celebrate the life of Jesus. We
remember His suffering. We also praise God for the resurrection. I have
been studying in John now for several days. I wish the Easter season was
longer. It seems like it is here and gone before we really get to look
at all the details. I want to take you back to John 16. Jesus is giving
last minute instruction to His followers. It is interesting to me that
He knows what is about to happen and yet He is filled with joy. It is
for the disciples good that He must die. He tells them that they are
going to be better because of His death. I know the disciples are
thinking, "Wouldn't it be better if you were here in person?" Jesus
goes on to explain that the relationship they will have with Him through
the power of the Holy Spirit will be even closer than the one they have
with Him at that moment. Jesus goes on to say that the Spirit will guide
them into all truth. The Sprit will reveal more to them than they know
right now. What is exciting to me is that I can have a closer
relationship to Jesus than His disciples did while He walked the Earth.
His Spirit can reveal more truth to me than the disciples could
understand while Jesus was with them. I am praying that we become a
church who seeks to know God In His fullness. Jesus says we can KNOW Him
In all truth. I can KNOW all His plans and purpose for my life He can
be closer to me than any person ever could. This Is hard to imagine but
I believe It to be true. As we move from the grave to Pentecost I pray
you will seek God as never before in your life
May the Lord Bless You All,
Pastor Brian
