“A Message from Pastor Brian,”
Last week in my daily Bible reading I came across that famous verse in 2 Chronicles about the people praying and God healing their land. When was the last time you really read this verse? We hear preachers talk about it all the time. When you read it from the pulpit people always say amen. When I here it on the radio I always nod in agreement. We act like we believe what the verse says... but do we really? I don't believe we do. If we did, our land would be healed. If you will notice the verse doesn't call for everyone to pray, Just God's People. These are the believers, the church. If just the church would pray then God would heal the land. Surely the Church is praying... isn't it? I mean, we as the church, and I include myself, look at all the trouble around and wonder why people don't change. I want to go out and do something to make a difference. I want to fight the evil that is taking over our country. That is not our main job according to the Word. God says we are to numble ourselves. We need and I need to realize I can not change the world. To realize that I am not the agent of change is humbling. God says I need to figure out that He is the one who will bring about the change. I am called to humble my self and pray. Church for too long we have looked for things to do and not humbled ourselves and prayed. How do I know? Just look around,. If the church would pray our land would be healed. I hope that the Word has challenged our heart as it has mine. The problem in America is the chruch doesn't believe in prayer.
May the Lord Bless You All,
Pastor Brian
